Best practice is defined as learning from other organisations that have developed successful approaches to problems or projects.  This series of occasional papers highlights exemplary work that has been undertaken in the region by the Tourist Boards to measurably improve tourism businesses and practices.  It is anticipated that others can learn and adopt the successful approaches.

• Welcome to Excellence - a region-wide customer service training programme which has been tailored to address specific requirements of the sector

• Accessible Tourism - a Chester and Cheshire pilot for the EU, leading the UK in providing on-line information for people with disabilities

• Talent - providing an innovative solution on Merseyside by training supervisors with valuable leadership and management skills and teaming the participants with an industry mentor
