Tourist Boards

The five sub-regional Tourist Boards have a vital sub-regional strategic role in developing the visitor economy in their area.  They lead the delivery of the regional and sub-regional tourism strategies, through the Destination Management Plan, which is the action plan for the sub-regions.

The Destination Management Plans bring together all those involved with tourism and the visitor economy, including local authorities and tourism businesses.

Tourist Boards are directly responsible for strategic leadership of their destination, including marketing, research, business engagement, skills development and project delivery.
