Whatever the access requirements of visitors to the Northwest, it is important everyone can enjoy what is on offer. Links from this page are designed to assist businesses in finding out all they need to know about Accessibility. The DDA helps citizens to enjoy the same services that others take for granted. The DDA expects tourism businesses to make reasonable adjustments – please see for www.eqalityhumanrights.com for more details about the DDA and Visit England for more information on Accessible Tourism. The National Accessible Scheme (NAS) operated by VisitEngland and Tourism for All UK, awards ratings to accommodation establishments based on the level of access. The NAS information pack is free of charge. www.tourismtrade.org.uk/quality. Look at the guide created by Visit England titled “Easy does it” which provides advice on how to make simple, low cost changes to benefit tourism businesses and their visitors.
