England's Golf Coast

The coastline of England’s Northwest, which stretches from the Wirral peninsula in the south to the Solway Firth in the north, is home to some of the UK’s most naturally beautiful and challenging golf courses. These rich pickings have been brought together as England’s Golf Coast , a marketing campaign delivered regionally by The Mersey Partnership.

Merseyside’s 70 miles of coastline are at the heart of England’s Golf Coast and were host to the Open Championship in 2008 at Royal Birkdale.  2012 sees the return of the Open to Royal Lytham and St Annes, bringing prestige and prominence to the region and builds on the reputation of the Northwest as the finest stretch of Championship golf in the world.
