The Welcome to Excellence series of training programmes is the most successful customer service training initiative in the UK. 

Welcome to Excellence is a customer service training programme that has been developed for people who work in the tourism sector.  This key skills development work has been led by a partnership between the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and the five Tourist Boards in England’s Northwest, led by Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board and Cumbria Tourism.

There are eight one-day training programmes, which provide front-line staff and managers with the skills they need to provide high standards of service. The training courses are frequently updated to reflect changing conditions and legislation and are delivered by highly specialist trainers.
