Destination Management Systems

Over 80% of consumers now use the internet to decide on a destination for their holidays.  

The Northwest Regional Development Agency and the Tourist Boards are working together to give tourism businesses the opportunity to reach customers online and compliment their existing marketing activities.

England’s Northwest has invested in providing an integrated destination management system enabling the electronic distribution of information through Visit Britain and the Tourist Boards, serving the needs of visitors and businesses.    The provision of this system is enabling the Tourist Boards to capture information from businesses and then market local accommodation products, events, activities, restaurants and attractions to as wide an audience as possible.
